Are you looking to achieve a greater quality of life? Well, you’re not alone. Studies show that with the rapidly changing healthcare system, more people are seeking preventative healthcare programmes or holistic health and medicine.

There is a lot of buzz these days about holistic healing. Many people find that these holistic healing practices such as yoga and chiropractic care actually work! If you are thinking about practising holistic healing activities, learn what the popular practices are and which one is right for you. Below are definitions for 10 popular holistic healing practices.

You will probably be surprised to know that these practices are offered by more than 80,000 doctors throughout the United States and their numbers have tripled around the world. You can probably find many holistic healing practices right in your own country. Search and you will find holistic doctors and practices near you.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture was developed in China over 6,000 years ago. It is based on the theory of qui or what is commonly called the chi life force. Acupuncture helps the body’s ability to correct and balance itself. Chi is channelled by continuous flow throughout the body into a network of meridians. Hair-thin disposable needles are inserted into specific points along the meridian to stimulate or disperse the flow of energy to correct and balance it.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is an ancient healing art. Aromatherapy focuses on the principles of massage, diet, and psychological factors of illness. Essential oils derived from herbs, flowers, and fruits are either inhaled, or applied to the skin. Different oils, either solo or in combination, address specific disorders like organ dysfunctions and skin problems.

Reflexology

Reflexology is the theory of applying pressure to specific points found on the hands, feet, and outer ears. Reflexology is a science and an art, which, when performed correctly, can dramatically help healing from within. Specific relaxing touch is used to relieve headaches, joint pain, allergic reactions, stomach problems, and colon issues. A pressure map that looks like the body is used to diagnose and resolve the problems that you have.

Chiropractic care

Chiropractic care is practised by spinal specialists trained in adjusting and manipulating the spinal column. Chiropractic care is about attaining a whole body balance between the spine, organs, and skin. A spinal specialist can diagnose and treat your symptoms of back pain, disc problems, sports or dance injuries, and car accidents. Chiropractic care also focuses on exercise, nutrition, and natural therapies.

T’ai Chi

T’ai Chi is the Chinese Taoist form of martial art. T’ai Chi is a practice that involves coordinated breathing with slow, graceful movements. T’ai Chi can be beneficial for meditative and health purposes, and can be practised by people of all ages. With increased speed, the movements of T’ai Chi can be used as a weapon of self-defence. The coordinated breathing relaxes the body and decreases the shallowness of breath, while calming the mind and body. T’ai Chi can help regulate your heartbeat, digestion, neurology, and glandular functions.

Pilates

Pilates is a body conditioning programme developed by Joseph Pilates [1880-1967]. Pilates can improve your muscle control and flexibility, coordination, strength, and muscle-tone. Pilates is the art of coordinating the mind and body to make you more aware of your body and emotions. Pilates helps you improve your alignment and breathing as well as efficiency and movement. Pilates is a series of coordinated movements similar to yoga, but a bit more advanced in focussing on the muscles.

Reiki

The word Reiki actually means universal life force. Reiki is the art of maintaining spiritual focus and mental clarity, and is based on the theory of activating and balancing your life force energy. Light hand placement over the body helps channel energy to the major organs and glands, and aligns the chakras [energy centres]. Reiki can help you rid your body and mind of stress and pain.

Feng Shui

Feng Shui is the Chinese art/science of the relationships between humans and the surrounding environment. Feng shui was developed over 4,000 years ago and is now commonly known as the art of placement. Feng shui is based on the idea that electromagnetic currents flow all around us and when the placement of buildings and furniture is correct, there is a harmony of the forces. Feng shui can maximise your health and wealth by providing you with an environment where you have improved sleep, increased productivity, and feel more energised. Interior and exterior adjustments to your home are advised by the feng shui expert.

Therapeutic touch

Therapeutic touch, in the past, was only practised by a few hundred doctors in the United States. Recently, the popularity of therapeutic touch has grown in leaps and bounds. Therapeutic touch focuses on rebalancing and refreshing your body’s energy fields. No-touch techniques used over the body alleviate pain and stress. Now, therapeutic touch is taught in over 80 universities and practised by 20,000-30,000 professionals. Therapeutic touch can help facilitate the body’s natural process of self healing.

Yoga

Yoga is the art of aligning the mind and body in one union. Concentrated rhythmic breathing and a series of poses create energy and align your posture. Yoga is also beneficial for meditative uses to control mental consciousness. Yoga helps you achieve a state of focus and clarity while strengthening, toning your body and helping you lose weight.

So whichever practice you choose, know that there are alternative healing practices available to improve your wellbeing. You can incorporate holistic health care in your daily life and start your journey to a healthier, happier you.

Feeling spiritually low, or stuck in a rut, or bored with life? Not to worry. Life coaching is helping millions of people generate personal wealth, start businesses, travel abroad, and create new lives.

It’d help you too.

Who is a life coach?

A Personal Life Coach is a confidential mentor, or partner, committed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. For example, last year, I hired a life coach because I was planning to relocate to New York City and start my own copywriting business. I needed a coach who could help me chart a path and provide the support I needed to launch a successful business.

A personal coach can help clients come up with action plans to fulfil their goals while also providing the support to keep them on track, through in-person sessions, E-mail, or telephone conversations.

What Coaching Does

With the help of a personal life coach, some people have gone on to generate more wealth, start a new business, find a lover or spouse, perform better at their jobs, change careers, lose weight, or move to a new city. The list goes on.

My goal was to start a business.

There was a time when I felt spiritually down and that my life was not being used to the fullest potential. I had my health, youth and attractiveness. I had a loving family, a working car, and friends. I received a bachelor’s degree in Communications from a four-year university course, earned a decent job in the marketing department of a major New York company; I had everything going for me, but I often felt unhappy and wanted more out of life. I wanted a challenge. I saw too many people around changing their everyday lives and I wanted to make sure I was growing productively as well. I immediately sprung into action.

A couple of months after meeting my life coach Stacie on a bi-weekly basis, I moved to New York and started working as an independent freelance copywriter for ad agencies and corporate businesses. It was challenging and exciting. I loved the flexibility of being my own boss. My inner glow began to shine. I could tell I was on the right path, because everything flowed perfectly.

At times, my mind wanted to shift to slow gear and distracted me from the path, but Stacie was there to put me back on track. Once I set my plan into action, I started to feel more in-tune with myself. It was a natural high and, several months later, I began sharing some of what Stacie taught me with close friends. It was nice to see them working on their goals with strong determination.

Life coaching can help with all aspects of your life: family, career, finances, relationships, living environment, health and spirituality!

Is coaching right for you?

If you feel that your spiritual tank is low and want to connect better with the Universe, coaching is a good place to start, but, you should remember, it is a trial and error process.

Coaches generally offer an initial free consultation. You can find out intuitively if it’s a good match. If at any time during the sessions, you feel funny, do not hire that coach. Reason: this person will intimately enter your life for several months, so you want to make the right decision. Personally, I tried several before finding the best relationship with Stacie, my life coach.

A word for the wise: do not hire a coach, because you think s/he is cute. My coach just happens to be a knock-out!

Our immediate chemistry was magical and we talked for hours. We bounced creative ideas on one another and even mapped out a plan of action within the first meeting. Stacie’s energy was amazing and our connection worked especially well for me because I wanted more spirituality in my life at that point. We connected spiritually well, which breathed a new life into my soul. I discussed some of the changes I wanted to make in my life and she listened attentively.

For the first time, I felt I had a partner to help me focus on reaching my goals. Though short-termed, having a coach felt like having a personal “cheer-leader” encouraging me, at every step of the way, through phone calls, thoughtful suggestions, inspiring E-mails, and proactive meetings.

How to find life coaches

Finding a life coach is easy. With access to the Internet you virtually have the world at your fingertips. You can find coaches through Internet Search Engines, local public library, magazine articles, newspapers, or referral services. Personally, the more intention you place about wanting a coach, the more likely the right one will respond and find you.

I found Stacie while networking online through a business website. I came across an ad that read: “My friend is a new Life Coach. Recently certified by New York University, she lives locally and [is] looking for clients at an unbelievably low discounted rate, please contact her.” Once I saw “discounted rate,” I responded immediately. Stacie and I set up our first meeting later that week.

Can I afford coaching?

Some people say, “But, I can’t afford it, right now.” While some coaches, in the US, charge $200 an hour, other coaches charge $50, a small price to pay to have someone committed to help you achieve your goals. Also, some business companies pay for management coaches to support staff members.

A coach who is more expensive is not necessarily better. Also, keep in mind coaching has had a long shelf-life. Actors and singers have used coaches for decades.

So, if an up-and-coming singer, or actor, or a creative person, can hire a coach, so can you.

How healers learn to heal others

In the course of time, and with the help of a friend, I jumped on the life coaching bandwagon and began operating a personal coaching practice from my home in New York City. Yes, ironically the client became the coach. Surprisingly, more often I am finding coaches, who I consider to be healers, create more healers through coaching like me.

Life Coach and Trainer Jessica Horstman Sabatini went through a similar transformation. She was a school athletic coach and acting production manager. She lived in a nice apartment, was involved with a great guy, and all of a sudden her world came to a stop when she found her sister was diagnosed of cancer. Things suddenly went for a toss and material items lost value when she found she’s powerless – to help her sister. Soon after, she found a coach to help her cope with her distress.

After several months, Jessica started to emerge into a new woman. Life had more value and meaning. She took what she learned and started helping others to cope with life changing experiences. Instead of letting the situation paralyse her, she set forth to change the world by starting her own successful coaching practice. Today, she is more vibrant than ever before.

Imagine the effect of a coach helping you reach your maximum potential. Or, invest in your life for your best potential, which, in turn, motivates you to help others. This healing process happens each day in every part of the world.

Coach Wagon

There are different types of coaches. Find out the one you wish to seek help from.

Business coach works specifically to help small business owners, franchisees, managers, and self-employed professionals leverage their time, talents and resources

Dating coach practices building romance techniques in your relationship, or concentrates on finding spouse or partner

Financial coach helps to create wealth. They help manifest abundance for you and your family

Health/nutrition coach provides health analysis and healthy living practices. They may suggest changing certain foods in your diet that affect your mood pattern, or help treat depression

Personal coach helps you become more productive and efficient, such as with time management, but s/he will also help you achieve goals in your personal life – things like confidence, grace, and empowerment

A well-balanced, satisfying and successful life for his/her client is every coach’s goal.

Seeking a coach

If you find yourself seeking change, or wanting more out of life, call a coach. It is a conscious choice to make changes in our lives, but we sometimes are not sure where to turn. Is there something you’ve always wanted to do? Are you having a hard time staying motivated? Are you frustrated that no one seems to be cheering you on as you reach for the stars?

The right coach can help you find your way to full growth potential. Begin to utilise your abilities and improve your life and the world around you, today. Yes, you can learn more about coaching services and how specific services can help your desires to earn more money, grow spiritually, work less and love the life you are in. If you have general questions, pricing inquiries, inspirational resources and tips, or would like more information contact a life coach on the Internet, or begin your journey with coaching assistance research at the International Coaching Federation

Did you know?

The International Coaching Federation has 151 chapters in 45 countries and is growing from strength to strength. This number, of course, does not account for the millions of coaches that practice on a daily basis without a certification in the US, or elsewhere.

Become a Personal Coach

Since personal coaching is one of the fastest growing industries, many people are deciding to practice on a part-time basis in combination with their everyday 9-5 jobs. Starting from scratch takes more than a bit of motivation, but anyone can do it, especially if you enjoy helping others. Coaching can bring a new joy in your life knowing that your services are helping to find the best potential in someone’s life.

If you think coaching is for you, set up a set of activities with a coach. Yes, coaches need coaching too. See, if you would like to begin with the following:

Use your intuition when searching for clients. Find resources via library, workshops, books, Internet, or friends

Learn to map out a 3-5 step process for coaching each client. What is your process?

Do you want to get certified? Prices range from Rs 2,000-Rs 75,000

Do you have a specific, or unique, coaching area or skill?

Incorporate your background into coaching.

Wealth is not an overnight magic trick; a lot of hard work is needed. But, you can start achieving financial success in a matter of months with a boost in your spirituality attributes, positive thinking and affirmative actions. The best thing to do is to try and improve your wealth and spiritual quotient at every step of the way

The post Enrich your wallet… and soul appeared first on Complete Wellbeing.

First, allow yourself to dream of a number that will make you feel financially secure, or wealthy, by your own standard. Make sure that goal is no ordinary goal. Reach for the stars. Then, turn your dreams into reality with your intentions. If your intentions are to obtain several million, billion, or a few hundreds, make a plan of action.Consider the fact that your authentic intentions are communicating to the world around you what you really want.

Tell the world your goals

A great way to affirm your journey towards financial wealth is the action after the intention on each goal. Here are a few examples: draw yourself on a piece of paper along with your goals on the opposite side of the paper – then, create a bridge connecting you to your financial goal and hang it up on your wall as a reminder.

Also, create affirmations and say aloud, 10 times a day, in the mirror – “I am creating financial wealth easily and effortlessly.” Writing or speaking your financial goals creates action by informing the world of what you want in life. It is as simple as saying it out aloud. Many benefits of wealth come from the positive energy you place into your world. Placing positive energy into your financial goals, affirmations, and actions increases the ability to achieve your goals of wealth.

Get in line

Begin your path to wealth by seeking alignment on all of your levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Some useful tools are: practicing spirituality, seeking supportive friends and family, positive lifestyles, exercise, eating right, communication, community, mentors, self-help books, and the practice of giving back. These are some of the many ways we can achieve alignment to our inner peace. Also, note that our spiritual level, combined with inner peace, will assist the rest of our other levels a lot better.

Practice saying “Thank You”

Get into the habit of being thankful for every small blessing because, in return, the world blesses you. Practicing this concept is a little tricky at first, because it might seem unfamiliar or even silly to say “thank you” all the time. But, once you get the hang of it, you will start to see how your financial goals begin to form. For the next month, begin to say, “thank you,” for every good deed or action each day. If you snag a seat on a crowded bus, say “thank you.” If the sun is brightly shining which, in return, makes you smile, say, “thank you.” If you find extra money that you forgot in your trousers during laundry day, say,”thank you.” Remembering to say, “thank you,” can help your spirituality increase as well as adjust how you value your future wealth.

Seek a wealthy mentor

Think about the characteristics of a multi-millionaire that you know – from television, magazines, or personally. Get to know them. What do they do for a living? What are the traits you admire about them? What is their level of spirituality? Write down these traits and see how they add up. Begin reading the same publications they read. Involve yourself in an upgraded lifestyle. Find a local organisation or charity where you can communicate with them. Surprise yourself. Just think how flattered you would be if someone came to you for guidance. But, make sure this person is a giving and kind-hearted person. Being consistent with your levels will help you to stay aligned with supportive and positive people at all times.

Grab a book

If you can’t seem to find a wealthy mentor, the next step is to grab a few books to assist you on your financial journey. You can use your own judgment of which authors will work best for you, but here are some helpful suggestions that I found useful as well as interesting.

Feng Shui and Money by Eric Efferts offers nine steps to a fun and interactive process to gaining wealth that incorporates Feng shui – the ancient Chinese spiritual act of uncluttering your living space to uncluttered lifestyle – with your financial goals, without tampering any religious belief. Efferts believes that Divine Power or spirituality comes from within and once we clear our internal distractions with a little interior-design, we will change our external financial status.

Next on the list is, Who’s Afraidto Be a Millionaire: Mastering Financial and Emotional Success by Kelvin EBoston. The book reveals the impoverished thinker in many of us and combines a bit of psychology with basic “to-dos” and strategies to master financial success. Lastly, try reading 7 Steps on Success to Spirituality & Financial Freedom by Dr Sabharwal. Sabharwal teaches people in his easy guidebook about why spirituality creates a life of financial wealth. Purchase them online for a cheaper price as well – this is just a little savings tip on your path of wealth!

Enterprising mind-set

Face facts. At some point, you must begin earning an alternative income through some sort of accumulating outlet. Begin thinking of creative ways to earn alternative income. Research hobbies that you love to do, which you can get paid for – writing, consulting, freelance, multiple vending machines, own a small business, fixing cars and “flip them” – sell the car at a higher price, sell laminated wood [I actually knew a man that made a great income selling his wood on the World Wide Web] – you can create wealth simply by doing what you love and setting a price for your value.

One of the most profitable, but trickiest revenue streams is real estate. Begin real estate investing, take courses on real estate and learn to renovate foreclosure properties to sell at a higher price. But, don’t forget to find a trustworthy partner to help you along the way for resources, marketing, or financial assistance. Above all else, have fun. We often feel the need to keep fun and work as two separate entities. But, we can benefit financially by combining fun and work.

Learn from failure

“Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm,” said Sir Winston Churchill, the great British politician and war-time leader. Learn from your mistakes. It’s the only way you can succeed. Some of us are afraid to try new things, because we are afraid of messing up. Try a new concept while increasing your wealth; play around in mutual funds, real estate, or enterprise. Also, see if your mentor can refer new ventures to you, or invite you to become their “wealth intern.” Learn as much as you can from them. Give it a try. Mess up and move on. And, when you find yourself feeling defeated, know that you are already halfway through the battle!
