Top skills and the ability to work effectively in teams open the doors to leadership, and sustained success.
One of the most important requirements for thriving in today’s competitive society is the ability to work as an effective team member. This is true in business, family or spiritual service.
Whether you are a CEO or just finishing university, assessing your attitudes and aptitudes can take you to your next best level in life and career. Both are essential on your path to success and beyond to fulfilment.
Before assessing your attitude and aptitude development, we need to define what attitudes and aptitudes are. An attitude is both psychology or behaviour. An aptitude is also a skill or faculty that expresses an attitude or behaviour.
To start assessing your attitude and aptitude development, ask yourself if you are up on the latest trends and technologies in your profession. If so, you rank high on aptitude. Now, analyse your attitude. How do you respond to others? Do you learn from criticism, or become angry, defensive, depressed, or guilty? Do people like you, and do you like people?
Great technical skills, but a poor attitude, to cull one example, is a common profile among engineers and technicians. Coming up short on career aptitude, but having terrific people skills, is more common among mystics and the more loving types.
While it is easy to identify certain steps to gain additional knowledge, how do you upgrade your attitude?
Good attitude includes right psychological and spiritual behaviour towards a goal and within a team, whether that team is at work, or at home. As I say in my book, From Success to Fulfillment, people have to say what they really mean and mean what they say, but in the most appropriate, compassionate way.
Once a group decision is made, everyone needs to co-operate and fully implement the plan. With right attitude, excessiveness is avoided and objectivity and practicality are employed.
No matter if you are dedicated to making your mark in a multinational corporation, or elsewhere, growing a family business, preparing children for the demands of the world, or undertaking a spiritual mission, powerful teams guided by strong aptitude and a co-operative attitude can achieve the impossible.
With right aptitude and attitude, you can sure open new doors to leadership, sustained success and personal influence.

Stress is often the source of words spoken or action taken in anger or frustration. This leads to regret later. Is there a way out? There is!
Practice the Internal Organs Exercise whenever you feel stressed or tension starts to build. Do not do this if you are pregnant, have heart conditions, migraine, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, cancer or internal organ problems.
