7 Spiritual Practices That Can Be Added to Your Daily Routine

Before I decided to make a daily spiritual practice that was non-negotiable, I noticed that when my life became positive, my spiritual practice was the first thing to go. But then, when I was at my lowest, I returned to my spiritual beliefs full of optimism. You’ve been showing up, doing your job, and things are starting to feel fantastic! Meanwhile, life gets busy, and since you’re already feeling good as a result of all the hard effort you’ve invested in your spiritual practice, it’s often the first thing to go.

I kept playing this scenario in my head until one day I made a decision not to start over—ever. Here are seven tried-and-true methods for incorporating the spiritual practice into your daily routine.

1. Open your mind to meditation

We pay attention to what is going on around us when we meditate. It’s possible to read all the spiritual books you want, but it’s difficult to follow your inner wisdom and connect with your heart chakra unless you take the time to quiet your mind.

Begin by sitting for five minutes every day and asking the universe, “What would I need to hear right now?” If you’re having trouble keeping up with your meditation routine, there are many resources that can help you practice spirituality. Even if you’re a bit disorganized, the guided techniques will assist you to focus.

This isn’t about not participating differently while you meditate. You’ll have lots of thoughts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Observe your ideas during meditation, but don’t engage with them—simply let them go.

Don’t worry about ridding yourself of all your ideas; this will just add to your stress and cause you to be sidetracked rather than assist.

2. Make some time to pray

blankWe request help in prayer. This is a lovely and effective way to engage with your inner wisdom. Listening is considered meditation, and requesting assistance or affirming is prayer. They work well together.

Prayer has the benefit of allowing you to pray at any time and in almost any location. Pray on your way to work, before a crucial meeting, or before taking off on an airplane—literally anytime.

Here are some simple yet effective prayers to say at any moment:

“It’ll take a miracle for me to get through this.”

“Thank you for assisting me in gaining a fresh viewpoint on the situation.”

“May today be filled with love.”

“Thank you for assisting me in seeing the glint of brightness that pervades everything.”

“I’m asking for assistance in reshaping my thoughts.”

3. Make a point of being grateful on a daily basis, whether you realize it or not

How can you use these techniques to help you feel better now? Today is the day that everything comes together. Today, I’m going to tell you how to utilize these ideas in your life right now.

Spending time with dogs may help to transform your perspective. Dogs are known for being able to sense when you’re sad or lonely, and they will instantly become yours. They can anticipate what you want before you know it yourself, so spend some quality time with them every day to reap the benefits!

4. Whatever comes to mind, write it down in your diary

Have you ever opened a spiritual book, looked at the exercises, and said to yourself, “I’ll come back to them later?” Have you been able to contact them again after doing the activities? Do the exercises if you truly want to go deep.

That is why you should make certain that the questions are not too broad or narrow. They’re there to help you get the answers and address the issues you want to discuss. If you aren’t doing real work, it’s much more difficult for me to live out spiritual concepts on a professional level.

A journal is a wonderful way to express yourself freely, reflect on your goals, and keep track of your progress. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

5. Take care of your physical health

Our bodies are essentially a vessel for our minds and spirits in this world. If you wish your mind and spirit to perform at their best, you must keep your body in excellent shape. For others, this might imply many things. Don’t follow the newest diet craze or go gluten-free to seem trendy. Learn to listen and react to your own body’s messages.

Your body has an innate understanding of what is best for you, so if you pay attention and listen, you’ll find the high-vibe lifestyle that’s perfect for you with a little trial and error.

6. Breathe in and out

blankThe source of life is breathing. Make a promise to pay greater attention to your breathing. Take notice of how you breathe when you’re stressed, and see whether you take quick, shallow breaths or deep lungfuls of air? Taking deep breaths is both therapeutic and life-changing. If you’ve spent almost all of your life breathing shallowly, it may appear like you’re getting back to taking deep breaths again.

When you breathe in, your belly should expand forward, allowing your blood to flow freely throughout your body. The more often you massage your feet, the more oxygenated they will be. The more oxygen present, the better. This will help your circulation function more efficiently by supporting your organs and nerve cells. When you breathe in, your stomach should bend inwards.

7. Give in

Surrender, meditate and pray. This is when you accept the world has your back and everything is going to work out to your advantage. What I’ve learned is that when we truly let go of our attachment to a certain outcome, things frequently turn out to be far better than we could have imagined. When we submit to the larger life energy inside, we enter into the flow. Let out your positive vibes and do your task, knowing that everything you encounter is providentially correct.
